Today we were excited to welcome Old MacDonald’s Farm at Small Friends! We enjoyed feeding, brushing, and cuddling the farm animals. The children loved caring for the animals and had a wonderful hands-on experience.

Happy Grandparents Day
Today, we invited our wonderful grandparents and special people in our lives to celebrate Grandparents Day. We enjoyed amazing activities together, shared a lovely afternoon tea, and created beautiful memories that we’ll cherish forever.
Diwali Celebrations at Small Friends
Today, we had a wonderful time celebrating Diwali, the Festival of Lights! The children explored this vibrant festival through fun and meaningful activities — we created beautiful Diwali-themed arts and crafts, made colorful flower garlands, and some of us even had intricate henna designs painted on our hands! Our talented chefs treated us to a delicious array of Indian foods, giving everyone a tasty glimpse into traditional Diwali cuisine. It was a joyful day full of color, creativity, and cultural discovery. We loved celebrating Diwali together!
Deaf Awareness Campaign
Today, Small Friends showed their support for Deaf Awareness by wearing bright colours to celebrate Loud Shirt Day!”
Wungong Creek Frog Release Excursion
Today, we enjoyed a special excursion to Wungong Creek to release the frogs we had lovingly raised from tadpoles. The children were so excited to return the frogs to their natural habitat — it was a beautiful moment of connection with nature and a great opportunity to reflect on everything we’ve learned during the process. Afterwards, we had some fun at the park, where we played What’s the Time, Mr Wolf? and enjoyed some active outdoor play together. A memorable day full of learning, laughter, and nature!
Armadale Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service here at Small Friends
Today, we had a very exciting visit from the Armadale Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service here at Small Friends! The children were thrilled to learn all about fire safety and meet the incredible firefighters who help keep our community safe. They even got the amazing opportunity to sit inside the fire truck and explore some of the equipment. To top it off, everyone had a turn on the hose, making it a truly memorable experience for all! A huge thank you to the Armadale team for their time, energy, and dedication — and for helping us teach the children such an important safety message in such a fun and engaging way.
