Crazy Hair Day
Today we celebrated Crazy Hair Day, and wow – the children all looked absolutely amazing! We saw so many awesome and creative hairstyles, from colourful creations to some truly wild designs. Thank you to all our families for helping make the day so much fun. The children loved showing off their crazy hair and seeing everyone else’s fantastic ideas! It was a day full of laughter, creativity, and lots of smiles!
Mothers Day 2026
This morning we spoilt our mums and the special women in our lives with a yummy grab-and-go breakfast for all our families. The children have also been busy creating special gifts for their mums and special people to celebrate on Sunday
Special visit from Jodie and her Wiggley Wagon!
Today at Small Friends Childcare, we had a very special visit from Jodie and her Wiggley Wagon! The children had the opportunity to get up close with a variety of amazing reptiles. They were excited to learn all about them, and some of us were even brave enough to hold lizards and snakes! It was a fun and educational experience for everyone
Easter Bunny Special Visit
Today at Small Friends, we had a very special visit from the Easter Bunny, who helped us run a fun-filled egg hunt for the children! We also put together a delicious Easter breakfast for our families to enjoy this morning. We wish all of our families a safe and wonderful long Easter weekend, and we look forward to seeing you all back on Tuesday, 7th April.

Harmony Day at Small Friends Childcare.
Today we celebrate diversity within our centre. Harmony Day is a wonderful opportunity to share and showcase our cultural backgrounds here at Small Friends Childcare. This links closely to Quality Area 6 – Collaborative relationships with families and the community, as we build strong connections, celebrate inclusion, and embrace the diverse backgrounds of the families and community we are part of.

Today the Toddler Room enjoyed exploring our edible sensory tray. The children had fun discovering different textures while taste testing along the way. They absolutely loved this sensory experience!

Daycare Dental Visit
Today we had Daycare Dental visit us at Small Friends. The children did an amazing job opening wide while Kim examined their teeth. Many of them even had their teeth cleaned and received a dental care pack to take home. Visits like this have great benefits, as they help children become comfortable with dentists looking in their mouths and encourage positive dental habits from an early age.
