Small Friends Childcare

THATS A WRAP

We say goodbye to the last of our Butterflies who were with us for school holidays. Some of them have been with us since the Baby room and some have joined us just recently for Holiday care. Tomorrow they go back to or start school so we let our some of our energy with a good old fashioned party. We celebrated with glitter tattoo application, water play in the foam pit, jumping on the bouncy castle and sliding on the slip and slide. If your little one has left Small Friends to start their new chapter at school we would like to take this time to say thank you for all your support, for letting your child be the reason we look forward to coming to work each day and we wish you all good luck and patience at this time of transition.

Visit to Big W in Armadale

This morning some of our Small Friends went to Big W in Armadale to deliver our school bags and stationary to the GiveWrite charity. As part of our responsibility to the EYLF outcomes we are guiding the children to be connected to their community, have empathy for those around them and to support them on their journey to “big school” While packing the bags we spoke of getting ready for school this week and how some children may not have new bags and new pens to take to school this year so it would make us feel really good to give these to some friends who need them. Thank you to all who donated to our cause, we appreciate your generosity and support

Shaving Foam Experiments

Playing with toy cars in shaving cream can help children develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and sensory development. Mess is so much fun!!

Hospital Incursion

Shirley from AWCHWA came to talk to the children about emergency services and going to the hospital. We also discussed different types of medicines and what to expect if we take a trip to the hospital. Thanks Shirley for coming to teach us and let us use all your props to feel like patients in the hospital.
