Autism Awareness Australia

AAA) works to improve the lives of autistic individuals and their families by providing free, evidence-based resources, raising public awareness, and advocating for inclusion and acceptance. We showed our support by wearing blue and engaging in blue activities
Rainbow Fish

The children created colourful Rainbow Fish using droppers and cotton balls. They squeezed the droppers on the cotton balls to create their colour on the scales of the fish
Happy Holi

Today we incorporated fun, age-appropriate activities like creating Holi-themed crafts, singing traditional songs, and engaging in gentle, supervised play with colored powder and water, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all the children.
Pretend Play

Pretend play provides a unique opportunity for children to explore their world, develop problem-solving skills, and build confidence in their abilities—all while having so much fun.
Lets learn about space

As we are focusing on learning about outer space this week, Miss Jo read a book called, Look Inside Space. It’s a flip book so the children got excited to the colourful pictures and even helped Miss Jo label some of them like, The Sun, Moon and Astronauts. Then, we learned about planets as Miss Jo showed the children painted balls representing each one of them. They loved it when Miss Jo mentioned the planet where we live in is called “Earth”.
Ice sensory play

Some benefits to colored ice sensory play: It’s a great sensory experience! There’s tons of math and science involved — states of matter, primary colors creating secondary colors, temperature changes, etc.
Getting close to nature

We love getting close to naturePlaying in nature provides numerous benefits for children, including improved physical health, enhanced cognitive development, increased creativity, better social skills, reduced stress, a stronger connection to the environment, and a greater sense of well-being; essentially promoting holistic development through sensory experiences and opportunities for exploration and risk-taking in a natural setting.
Flower Paintings

Painting with flowers can help toddlers develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and creativity. It can also help them learn about colors, textures, and cause and effect. Benefits- Painting with natural objects like flowers can help children explore different shapes, colors, and textures.
Safe 4 Kids information night with Holly

Last night, our staff and families had the chance to attend the Safe 4 Kids information night with Holly, the Director of Safe 4 kids. Holly explained what we are going to cover in the next 10 weeks of the program. We are all excited to start teaching and providing activities to teach children protective behaviors.
