We repurposed a Coles croissant box and decorated it using cut-out faux grass, egg cartons, twigs, wood chips, rocks, and dried plants. To spark the children’s imagination, we added felt pieces and plastic animal toys. The children enjoyed pretending to feed the animals on the egg cartons and grassy areas.
This activity also promoted sustainability by reusing materials such as the box, faux grass, and natural items like rocks, twigs, and dried plants. The children had fun! We will introduce some more small world play using recycled materials in the room!
